Louis Spohr is the dedicatee of the first and only piano concerto by Clara Schumann. Spohr was one of the most prestigious and demanded conductors of his time. This is the reason why he was also chosen in 1845, despite the presence of initiator Franz Liszt at a fixed conductor of the first Beethoven Festival in Bonn.
